Brock Lesnar’s name was not explicitly mentioned in former WWE employee Janel Grant’s lawsuit; rather, a former UFC Heavyweight Champion was referenced. However, it was not difficult to connect the dots and figure out that Lesnar was involved. Consequently, Lesnar has been removed from a popular WWE game.
Content featuring The Beast Incarnate has been taken down from the WWE SuperCard game, which is a digital collectible card game published by 2K Games and available on mobile platforms. As a result, Lesnar will no longer be a part of the game, leaving fans disappointed.
Brock Lesnar reportedly removed from the WWE SuperCard video game
Brock Lesnar has not appeared on WWE television since the SummerSlam 2023 Premium Live Event, where he fought against Cody Rhodes. However, it seems unlikely that he will return anytime soon due to his involvement in Vince McMahon’s trafficking lawsuit. Additionally, he has now been removed from a WWE game.
It was previously planned for Brock Lesnar to participate in the Royal Rumble match. However, due to his involvement in the legal issues surrounding McMahon’s lawsuit, Lesnar’s participation is now uncertain. According to “PWInsider,” fans of the WWE 2K Supercard mobile game have also noticed that Lesnar has disappeared from the game, leading some to speculate that he may be downplayed or removed from other WWE-licensed products, such as 2K projects.
”Several PWInsider.com readers sent word that Brock Lesnar has disappeared from the WWE 2K Supercard Digital Collectible Game online. In asking around, we have confirmed Lesnar was indeed pulled from the game. It would appear that 2K, as a licensee for WWE, is following the company’s lead after WWE backed off on using Lesnar last weekend at the Royal Rumble event.”
”Going forward, PWInsider.com has been told by sources familiar with the matter that we should expect to see Lesnar downplayed (if not outright removed as he was in the Supercard game) as much as possible going forward by 2K and potentially other licensees,” wrote PWInsider.
Lesnar’s merchandise is being cleared out by WWE
It has been noticed that Brock Lesnar merchandise is now available at discounted prices on WWEShop. This happened after the former UFC and WWE champion was mentioned in a recent civil lawsuit against Vince McMahon. The lawsuit, filed by a former WWE employee named Janel Grant, accuses McMahon of being involved in sex trafficking.
Grant also claims that she was forced into having a relationship with a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, who was on the WWE roster and looking to sign a new contract at the time. Due to the allusions made to Lesnar in the lawsuit, he was removed from the Royal Rumble on January 27 in Tampa/St. Petersburg.
The merchandise page for Lesnar on WWEShop has a discount code for everything except for a plush toy. You can find socks, T-shirts, replica shorts, and even a Funko Pop! set featuring the Undertaker, modeled after their match at WrestleMania 30, where Lesnar ended Undertaker’s streak. The cheapest items available right now are a keyring and a lanyard.
It was reported on Thursday that Brock Lesnar was removed from the WWE 2K Supercard mobile game. According to “PWInsider,” Lesnar’s future involvement in WWE licensed content is uncertain, which might include WWE merchandise themed around him, such as the 2K24 set to release on March 8, a month before WrestleMania 40.
”WWEShop.com has placed 99% of all merchandise related to Brock Lesnar on discount sale. In speaking to WWE sources today, we are told that going forward Lesnar is “off the table” from all creative pitches,” wrote PWInsider.
The report also reveals that Lesnar has been removed from all WWE creative plans, including WrestleMania, and the rumored plans for Lesnar to face Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER have been canceled. At present, it is unclear what Lesnar’s contract status is with WWE following the lawsuit.
