The Golden State Warriors have postponed their Friday game against the Dallas Mavericks due to the tragic passing of their assistant coach Dejan Milojevic. The Warriors said some beautiful words about him online.
This is the second time the Dubs have postponed a match this week. The first one was the match against the Utah Jazz that was scheduled on Wednesday and it was postponed because of the same reason.

The Golden State Warriors were scheduled to face the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night but the NBA announced on Thursday morning that the matchup was postponed because of the tragic passing away of Dejan Milojevic, the assistant coach of the Dubs.
The match against the Utah Jazz was also postponed on Wednesday after the team learned of the medical emergency involving their beloved assistant coach. Dejan Milojovic, who was just 46 years old, suffered a sudden heart attack while attending a private team dinner in Salt Lake City on Tuesday.
He was rushed to the hospital immediately, but the doctors were unable to save him, and he passed away the following morning. Milojovic had been a member of the Warriors’ family since 2021 when he joined as the assistant coach. The Warriors will be back in action next on January 24 against the Atlanta Hawks.

The official X account of Warriors gave a heartwarming tribute to their late assistant coach Dejan Milojevic. They posted a photo of him accompanied by a heartwarming message that mourned the tragic incident and also offered strength and condolences to Dejan’s family.
The head coach of the Dubs, Steve Kerr also expressed his sadness and called the loss “unfathomable”. The NBA community has also reacted to this sad news and has paid tributes to Dejan in their own way.
NBA on TNT had a segment during which they paid their respects to Dejan, remembered his career, and mourned his loss. The Lakers observed a moment of silence during the game to pay their respects and extend condolences to the Warriors and Dejan’s family.
Coach Malone also delivered heartwarming words and talked about how much the late coach loved Nikola Jokic and advised the Nuggets big man to carry the legacy of Dejan along with him in the future.
