WATCH: Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins drown in CM Punk chants despite wholesome gesture to US veteran

On the latest episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Cody Rhodes made a surprise appearance and cut a promo off-air with his WarGames team member Seth Rollins. The superstar duo won the hearts of the fans present in the arena with their heartwarming gesture toward a U.S. veteran.

However, the highlight of their promo was outshined by the CM Punk chants of WWE fans present in the arena. Both Rhodes and Rollins were surprised by such huge chants from the audience.

The reason behind Cody’s appearance was to participate in a tag team match against Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh alongside Seth Rollins. The newly formed alliance was able to defeat the members of Judgment Day in that match.

After the match ended, The American Nightmare did a promo in the arena and the audience present was surprised as nobody was expecting this special off-air promo. Rhodes and Rollins even brought a table inside the ring and signed their autographs on that table. Fans got excited as they realized that this table would be gifted to someone from the audience.

Moments later, The Architect looked through the entire arena and saw a one-armed force personnel sitting front row. With that, Rollins and Rhodes decided to make the veteran’s day special by gifting him the autographed table. The veteran got emotional with the kind gesture of both superstars.

On the latest episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Cody Rhodes made an appearance despite being a member of the Raw roster. The American Nightmare appeared in a segment with Seth Rollins. This segment happened after the show went off-air.

While the duo appears to be on the same side currently, they have been arch nemeses in the past. Rollins and Rhodes are on the same team for Survivor Series WarGames 2023, where they will face Judgment Day inside the squared circle.

On yesterday’s episode of SmackDown, the duo also praised each other, and the segment was supposed to be happening only to show their bond with the purpose of creating hype for their upcoming match.

However, the audience was seen chanting the name of former AEW superstar CM Punk, as he is rumored to return to WWE at the Survivor Series WarGames 2023. Surprisingly, Cody Rhodes also chanted once with the audience and Seth Rollins was also smiling in that moment.
