WATCH: Cody Rhodes partakes in gender reveal after WWE RAW goes off air

Cody Rhodes was the main event of Monday Night Raw, where he faced Grayson Waller in a match. This match was a continuation of their segment at Elimination Chamber 2024. After every main event, Cody has a tradition of doing something unique.

However, after this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw at SAP Center in San Jose, California, even The American Nightmare wouldn’t have expected what a fan would request of him, and he had to do it eventually.

Cody Rhodes surprises couple with gender reveal

In the past, wrestling enthusiasts would carry signs to the arena to show their admiration for their beloved wrestlers. However, in modern times, audiences seem to put more focus on themselves instead. Despite this, Cody Rhodes is willing to accommodate them.

The American Nightmare is currently campaigning to become the next Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. He has been interacting with his supporters, trying to get closer to them and give them what they want.

This past Monday, after the Raw show ended, Rhodes noticed a sign in the crowd that asked, “Cody, are we having a boy or a girl?” He then hosted an impromptu gender reveal party at San Jose’s SAP Center, proving once again that he is a man of the people.

During the gender reveal party, Rhodes found an envelope that contained the answer to the baby’s gender. After calling for a drumroll, Rhodes revealed that the happy couple was having a boy. Although Rhodes had never done a gender reveal before, he once had one for himself during his time in All Elite Wrestling, which he said the internet was unhappy about.

After the reveal, Rhodes advised the parents-to-be not to name the boy Cody, as according to him, it is a terrible redneck name, and his parents were probably drunk when they named him.

Cody Rhodes attended fans’ wedding as best man

Cody Rhodes has his sights set on becoming the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, but he’s willing to take time out of his busy schedule to make a fan’s dream come true. During a WWE live event in Spokane, Washington on January 6, 2024, Rhodes defeated Shinsuke Nakamura.

After the match, a fan held up a sign asking Rhodes to be the Best Man at their upcoming wedding. Rhodes happily agreed, much to the delight of the Washington crowd. He’s determined to finish his story and claim the championship title, but he’s also willing to be there for his fans when they need him.

Cody Rhodes has a history of making unique connections with fans of WWE. On the final live Raw of 2023, he gifted a fan an entire Christmas tree that was part of the stage. This act of generosity followed his recent purchase of WWE tickets for a family of fans to ensure they saw him in action live. More recently, Rhodes showed his generosity to the kids of ‘The Wrestling Club’ by purchasing tickets and a hotel for the KIPP AMP Middle School students to attend WrestleMania 40.
