The Sergio Brown era in the NFL lasted only nearly six years after joining with the New England Patriots as an undrafted player. As his relatively unknown name was fading from the minds of NFL fans, the former NFL safety was poised to make fans remember his name again, albeit through a heinous act.

The NFL world was shaken one month ago when Sergio Brown and his mother, Myrtle Brown, were reported missing while on their way to participate in a family program. Later, his mother’s lifeless body was found near their Illinois home, and the former player was still missing.

The NFL community found some solace a few weeks ago when Sergio made his first public appearance. However, following that, he garnered negative headlines due to consecutive suspicious acts. He secretly attempted to re-enter the United States in California from Mexico but was caught red-handed by the authorities.

Already, he was accused of a first-degree murder case for his mother’s death. Hence in this process, some Mexican police attempted to extradite him back to the United States to stand trial for the murder of his mother.

The 35-year-old then spitted brawling with them on a plane that was quickly shot by Michelle Williams, a resident of Lakeside Calif. In a clip, Sergio Brown was spotted pushing the officers and yelling at them, accusing them of trying to kidnap him.

“They’re kidnapping me again … I’m from Chicago. I should not be going to Tijuana. Let me go. This is kidnapping.”

Prior to that, the FBI attempted to detain him he claimed in a video, but at that time also he managed to escape from the authorities.

Nevertheless,  among all of them, the former Patriots player was totally different. His mother’s death could not touch his heart mother, who was his inspiration for his NFL career. Rather, his black sheep son was reportedly caught on camera partying in Mexico prior to last week.

It’s not like he was not aware of the news as he himself shared in a video claiming his innocence behind his mother’s death. Definitely, he is aware of the matter, yet he chose to claim it so that he could escape from the investigation by the authorities.

The news came as double trouble for the Browns family as they never imagined his involvement in the murder case of his own mother. Meanwhile, a court hearing is scheduled for November 13. Let’s see if Brown can prove his innocence.
