Watch: Florida State QB Jordan Travis being stretchered off-field after wicked leg injury, garnering support from Saints QB Jameis Winston

Coming into a game with an undefeated record on the line, the Florida State lived on their supremacy over North Alabama, snatching a blowout 58-13 win on Saturday night. Throughout the big winning night, the Seminoles only bowed down their head to the misfortune that they had to embrace regarding their star quarterback Jordan Travis.

A gruesome injury did not let the player enjoy his team’s win on the field. Fortunately, during his bad night, one of the team’s former legendary players made his appearance to convey some encouraging words for the injured player.

Jordan Travis’s injury update

Jordan Travis is a cornerstone for the Seminoles, just as Travis Hunter is for the Colorado Buffaloes, who share almost the same name. On Saturday, the quarterback was totally focused on salvaging a victory for his squad at Doak Campbell Stadium. Sadly, on the game’s third drive, he was tackled suddenly while running 17 yards. The quarterback was seen holding his left leg beneath his knee, a significant mishap for him.

The FSU physicians and trainers soon rushed to the spot to examine the player and let the player understand that he had become a serious victim of a lower left leg injury. He was not fit enough to carry on the play and later was carted off the field.

The euphoria surrounding the game quickly turned to muck, but neither team’s players nor supporters allowed Travis to walk off the field disappointed. They all gathered in midfield to console Jordan, and the supporters continued to cheer for him by chanting his name.

Jameis Winston talks about Jordan Travis

With the Seminoles trailing the Lions 13-0, Jordan Travis had to go away from the field. During Hunter’s injury, his quarterback Shedeur Shander took the duty for the Buffaloes’ win while in absence of Jordan, at first Tate Rodemaker and then Brock Glenn took the spot of the injured quarterback.

Amid this, Glenn scored his first touchdown as a Seminole. From the hospital bed, Travis did not fail to hail his backup player with a sweet note to convey his excitement for his team’s win.

Despite the applause from him, former Florida State quarterback and current Saints quarterback Jamies Winson is moved by the severity of Travis’ current predicament. The Saints player was inspired to step up and offer him support during his rough moments because, for an enhanced player, it was nothing more than a nightmare. Hailing his legacy as one of the greatest college football players, Winson advised him to maintain his fortitude and keep going.

“I just wanna encourage him to stay resilient and continue to persevere. I think he’s the epitome of that in his college football career,” Winston said.

Winston continued to give the Florida State quarterback words of encouragement, advising him to maintain his bravery. There is sunlight in every night, and Winston wanted Jordan Travis to draw inspiration from it.

“I just wanna continue to lift him up. Stand firm. Be strong and courageous. The Lord has a plan for you that no man can even imagine.”

The Seminoles improved to 11-0 on the year with the victory, per USA Today Sports. Hopefully, their ideal quarterback will be able to join them shortly after recovering from his injuries in the same manner that he guided his team to a winning run.
