The Green Bay Packers team is in the limelight this season, especially due to their first voyage without their 18-season veteran, Aaron Rodgers. The Rodgers-less Green Bay team headed into their Week 4 game against the Detroit Lions after improving to 2-1.
Unfortunately, the Packers again fell short on the night and endured their second loss of the season. Nevertheless, in addition to Jordan Love‘s team’s offensive struggles, one of their fans’ actions also caused the squad to make headlines after the game.
Watch: Packers fan poured Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown with beer
Against the visiting Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field, the Packers team could not place themselves on any side of the ball flawlessly. This reveals numerous advantages for the Lions, and throughout this process, Lions quarterback Jared Goff connected with wide-open St. Brown for a 24-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
It was the first field goal of the Lions which they earned early in the game, hence it prompted Brown to take the step to celebrate the moment. He noticed some Lions supporters in the front row, so he performed a “Lambeau Leap” into the crowd.
Brown, though, had probably forgotten that there were supporters of the opposing team who would not find the celebration amusing. Among all the frustrated Packers fans, one fan took the chance to express his distress over the celebration and dumped beer on St. Brown’s helmet while he was in the crowd.
The fan’s erratic behavior cost the Green Bay team two losses on the same night: one against the Lions and the other being their reputation. Even though the NFL hasn’t commented on the incident, it’s possible that this fan won’t be permitted back at Lambeau Field anytime soon.
Amon-Ra St. Brown’s hilarious response to Packers fans after Week 4 win
The Lions fans were incensed by the Green Bay Packers fans’ incident, and many of them expressed their anger over the matter as, in their opinion, it was disrespectful to their receiver. Many of them also demanded that the supporters be detained for throwing beer. However, the person for whom fans are fighting seemed to be unconcerned about the issue, as the Lions secured a convincing 20-34 victory against the Green Bay team. Brown even gave a lighthearted response when he was questioned about the beer-pouring incident after the victorious night.
“I lost my Lambeau Leap virginity,” he said per The Athletic’s Colton Pouncy.
In the game, the receiver again garnered attention for his other hilarious response during the game. As one of the Packer’s fans showed him his middle finger during the game, he blew a kiss to the fan.
The night was very frustrating for the Packers team and the 23-year-old Lions player fully enjoyed it. His hilarious response to the fan after his disgusting gesture is another example of the receiver enjoying the opposite team fans’ taunts rather than providing a harsh reply.
