Watch: The Rock closed Vince McMahon’s “Kiss My A** Club” by forcing him to smooch Rikishi’s butt

In the earlier days of WWE, the attitude era was considered to be one of the most controversial, and humorous periods in WWE. Vince McMahon, the owner and chairman of WWE, was not only a powerful authority figure but also involved in many funny segments with the WWE superstars.

One such incident happened on a RAW episode when the people’s champion, The Rock tricked McMahon and made him involved in a segment with Rikishi.

The Rock forces Vince McMahon to kiss Rikishi’s a**

On a Monday Night RAW episode on November 29, 2001, the WWF Champion Rock appeared to the ring and announced he had picked up a member of Vince McMahon’s “Kiss My A** Club.” McMahon was in excitement when Rock introduced the Divas Champion Trish Stratus to join the club. At the time, McMahon and Stratus had romantic segments in the backstage and locker rooms of every RAW episode.

When McMahon was about to kiss Stratus, the people’s champion stopped him and let Stratus out of the ring. Rock took the mic and said, “The games are over. You are not gonna kiss Stratus. There is one special a** that the Rock has chosen specially for you”.

McMahon was shocked when Rock revealed the special person to be Rikishi. The fans chanted for McMahon to kiss Rikishi, but he refused. Then the Brahma Bull took McMahon for a Rock bottom ride and made him kiss Rikishi.

The storyline began at WrestleMania 17, when Stratus slapped McMahon and betrayed him during his match against Shane McMahon. Stratus also attacked Stephanie McMahon. The lawyer also added some funny sounds to the mic, and that made the TV audience really laugh out loud. Stratus is rumored to come back to WWE in the 2024 Royal Rumble.

Although it was a scripted storyline, McMahon’s reactions added a realistic touch to the segment, making it appear genuinely intense and engaging for the audience.

During the Attitude Era, Vince McMahon introduced the “Kiss My A** Club” to punish the WWE superstars who showed disrespect towards him, compelling them to kiss him. After that, many superstars, including Shawn Michaels, Jim Ross, and Triple H, have been involved in this storyline with McMahon. The “Kiss My A** Club” was part of the WWE’s strategy to push the boundaries of entertainment during the Attitude Era, capitalizing on controversy to generate buzz and capture the audience’s attention.

The club was removed from WWE in 2008 after getting a TV-PG rating. But still, McMahon’s Club is one of the most iconic and funniest segments in the history of WWE.
