Alex Pereira made a name for himself in kickboxing and MMA with his scintillating power, spanning two weight classes. With his signature left hook, Pereira became a two-division world champion in the UFC and Glory Kickboxing.
Many consider Pereira to have the kind of power that could even knock out elite heavyweights. Francis Ngannou is the hardest puncher known in the world, courtesy of his record on the PowerKube Machine. Now, Pereira tried a hand on the machine and it has sent the fight fans into a frenzy.

Francis Ngannou was and still is one of the scariest combat sports athletes of all time. He has 7 knockouts in the UFC with the one over Alistair Overeem being the most brutal. With a PowerKube punch power score of 129,161, Ngannou is worthy of his nickname, “The Predator”.
According to Marca, Alex Pereira recently hit the machine and scored 191,796 which is staggering because he is someone who fights at middleweight and light heavyweight. It needs to be noted that Pereira is significantly smaller than Ngannou.
Therefore, it’s very likely that Pereira would’ve broken the record of Ngannou by a bigger margin if the two were of the same size. Pereira has knocked out big names in both kickboxing and MMA, particularly with his left hook. Since he scored 191,796 with his straight right, one can only wonder what his signature left hook can muster.
With the record-breaking feat, Pereira had sent a chilling warning to Jamahal Hill, his opponent at UFC 300, in the main event. Hill is no slouch either as his nickname “Sweat Dreams” is a testament to his incredible knockout prowess. The UFC 300 main card will also have another Brazilian, Charles Oliveira and Pereira linked up with his fellow countryman ahead of the event.
Alex Pereira links up with Charles Oliveira ahead of UFC 300
There are 28 fighters on the UFC 300 PPV of which 13 are American and 7 are Brazilian. Since the UFC is an American-based promotion, the fact that there are 7 Brazilians on the card is a testament to the incredible talent of the Brazilian fighters.
Of the 7 Brazilians, Alex Pereira and Charles Oliveira fight on the main card. The two fighters, who were born and raised in the favelas, linked up at the UFC fighter hotel recently. They had a wholesome interaction in which Pereira insinuated that he was ready to knock out Jamahal Hill.
Oliveira will be looking to grab the number one contender spot as he faces Arman Tsarukyan who has vowed to knock him out. Even though he is fighting a number one contender fight, he has more interest in fighting Conor McGregor than Islam Makhachev, the undisputed champion. Oliveira’s coach also has the same opinion with the main reason for the interest being money.
Jamahal Hill is a former champion in the division and has the power to match well with Pereira. However, a striking matchup would likely favor the Brazilian. On the other hand, Tsarukyan is a hardnosed wrestler and it remains to be seen whether his wrestling or Oliveira’s BJJ will prevail over the other.
