“What a machine”: Charlotte Flair’s rehab footage leaves WWE fans amazed

Charlotte Flair has been in rehabilitation since the December 8, 2023 match in SmackDown Live. The former Women’s World Champion faced off against Damage CTRL member Asuka and suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus in her left knee.

Charlotte, who has been inactive for a while, recently shared a clip and photos showcasing her knee rehabilitation just two weeks post-op. WWE fans expressed their surprise on various social media platforms after the footage was released and shared their reactions.

Charlotte Flair provides rehab update

‘The Queen’ will be absent from the in-ring action till she is fully healed, and in fighting condition. She has a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL), Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL), and a torn meniscus in her left knee. Charlotte is expected to be out of action for several months.

Flair will miss a lot of premium live events, like Royal Rumble on January 27 and WrestleMania in April during her rehab. Recently, the former 2020 Royal Rumble winner, shared an update on her condition following her medical operation and how she’s faring at this time.

On January 17, Charlotte shared a clip on social media where she can be seen exercising and slowly working her left knee to build the strength necessary over time. Flair, according to reports, is working with Dr. Kevin Wilk at Champion Sports Medicine in Birmingham, which is highly regarded as one of the best facilities for physical therapy.

Charlotte Flair’s projected return timeline

WWE never officially provided a specific timeline for Charlotte’s return after her recovery. It was anticipated that she would be sidelined for nine months, with a potential return expected at the 2024 Crown Jewel event. The WWE star also shared on January 19, a picture of her on a treadmill, where she was seen in a red hoodie, saying “I speak English, but I love in Spanish”, referring to her husband Andrade El Idolo.

Former six-time World Champion, Booker T shared his take on Charlotte’s injury. During the “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T said, “It was just a bad break. Bad timing just because WrestleMania is right around the corner; it pretty much just blows you right out of the water as far as that goes. It’s bad timing, but that’s part of the business. People need to understand that it’s not ballet. Stuff like that happens. It happens all the time.”

The 14-time world champion’s last title match in WrestleMania 39 showed her facing Rhea Ripley for the SmackDown belt. Although Charlotte lost the match but it was still one of the best showdowns in the women’s division.

Fans are disheartened by Flair’s absence from the upcoming premium events and have expressed their feelings about how the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania will lack her presence. Although ‘The Queen’ is currently away, her fans are still anticipating her return and hope that her eventual comeback will be as epic as those of other superstars.
