The next two NBA rings came during the famed Big 3 era in the Heat, when the duo clinched the titles back-to-back in 2012 and 2013, respectively, alongside LeBron James. With Udonis Haslem making his retirement announcement in 2022, Wade and other players praised him for his impact on the Heat and the franchise, ultimately making him the VP of Basketball Operations. As per SI, Dwyane Wade’s statement was full of praise for Udonis Haslem for becoming who he was for the Miami Heat.

Wade said “He has had the greatest career in Miami Heat history. No one thought that would be the case when he first walked into that building. The franchise has had Shaq, Tim Hardaway, Alonzo, LeBron, and Chris Bosh—a line of Hall of Famers. But there’s one that stands above us all. That’s Udonis Haslem.” As per SI.

However, Wade made the decision to retire in 2019, and as a tribute, the Heat retired his jersey number 3 in 2020. Wade is currently one of the co-owners of the NBA team Utah Jazz. Despite Wade and Udonis having retired, their enduring relationship remains strong, and fans were delighted to witness their reunion.
