Nevertheless, in his sophomore year, a season-ending injury at Wake Forest cut his participation short. The injury limited him to just seven games. While he was trying his best to set his remark at Maryland, the injury issues continued in his junior year as well.

As a junior, the wide receiver faced another hurdle with intermittent injuries as he contributed to Maryland’s campaign in 10 games. During his injury-ridden sophomore year,  he secured 34 receptions for 587 yards at a remarkable average of 17.3 yards per catch. Despite falling prey to injury, he garnered recognition as an honorable mention All-ACC selection by both media and coaches. 

Diggs’ swan song in 2014 let him notch an impressive 62 receptions, amassing 792 receiving yards at a steady 12.8 yards per catch. His stellar performance earned him the distinction of second-team All-Big Ten Conference honors from coaches, while also receiving honorable mention recognition from the media.

His stellar resume throughout his career at last impressed the Minnesota Vikings to pick him in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL draft.
