What did Novak Djokovic do to the little girl after the horrifying incident at the Paris Arena?

Novak Djokovic keeps proving why he is loved by fans. With the Serbian star becoming the first men’s player to win 24 Grand Slam titles in September and record-extending 40th Masters 1000 title last week, the Star also has a Foundation that invests in early childhood education with a focus on Serbia.

Djokovic arrived at the ATP Finals venue in Turin yesterday and has been training hard for what may likely be a record-breaking 7th title. He also showed his growing love for children after he was seen comforting a little girl caught in the crowd of fans.

Novak Djokovic comforts the little girl after scary incident

At the weekend Rolex Paris Masters final, Novak Djokovic showed fine form to beat Grigor Dimirtov 6-4, 6-3 in 98 minutes to win his sixth title of the year. During celebration, Djokovic headed to the crowd to sign autographs, but one little girl found herself pushed away against the metal barriers of the arena as fans jostled to get the Serbian star signature.

That was when Djokovic saw the girl and told a vigilant staff member to bring the girls to him and there, he took to comforting the little girl who had been caught up in a melee of fans.

Djokovic also showed kind-heartedness by pausing his post-match on-court interview to console tearful Grigor Dimitrov after the showdown. The 36-year-old explained, “I’m sorry about the outcome today Grigor. It’s never easy to lose in a final. I want to encourage you to stay tough and keep going because you’ve been playing some of your greatest tennis this week and in the last few months.”

“Congrats to your team and your family. It was a pleasure to share the court with you. We go back a long way, we’re veterans of the tour now. Next gens, or whatever they call it? 30 plus gen?”, the Serbian star was candid.

Watch: Novak Djokovic shows his ballet dance move in Torino

Novak Djokovic arrived in Turin yesterday and looked ready to chase what will be his 7th Nitto ATP Finals. In a video he was seen showing his ballet dance moves in the Pala Alpitour court while training with Marco Panici and Claudio Zimaglia fixing his hip.

The Serbian star headlined the Green Group at the ATP Finals and will compete against Italian and home favourite Jannik Sinner, Greeks Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Dane Holger Rune. Novak Djokovic would be hoping to cruise past these common foes, as he is currently tied with Swiss legend Roger Federer for the most titles in tournament history with six. Winning his seventh would make the 36-year-old stand alone with the most trophies in the event’s history.

Novak Djokovic earlier admitted that he also wants to end the year as No.1 and winning a singles game at the ATP Finals in Turin would secure his record-extending eighth ATP Year-End No. 1 presented by Pepperstone honour. He would become the first player in ATP Rankings history to reach 400 weeks at World No. 1. The only other player to hit the 300-weeks mark is Roger Federer (310).

The Serbian star would begin his Nitto ATP Finals challenge on Sunday evening when he plays against Danish Holger Rune, what is likely going to be a rematch of their recent Rolex Paris Masters quarter-final at which Novak Djokovic won.
