What potential punishment does Josh Jackson face? Investigating former  NBA star’s alleged r*pe, battery case

Josh Jackson has had several ups and downs in his career, playing for Four NBA teams in five years with a handful of different coaches and teammates. The Kansas product who was selected overall fourth pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns, has been in the headlines for some serious scandals.

The former Sacramento Kings player had been accused of rape and threatening the alleged victim, back in February earlier last year. It seems, if found guilty, his professional career will suffer to a great extent.

Jackson is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a New York hotel last year and later sending two women to intimidate her by breaking into her apartment.

After a night out, Jackson reportedly texted her, inviting her to “come through” and offering “$1,500 if you come over.” Despite the woman declining the money, Jackson had arranged for her to ride in an Uber to a party at the New York Edition. The woman thinking the gathering was still ongoing, actually went to visit NBA center Andre Drummond.

To her surprise, she found herself alone with Josh Jackson, who offered her money for a night together, bragging about having “$12 million in his bank account.”

“I am not here for your money. I am not a gold digger.”, the woman had said as per the lawsuit. After she had a drink and dozed off in his room, she alleged that Jackson forcibly removed her clothing and assaulted her, causing her to “pass out from the trauma, confusion, and horror of the incident.”

It was later that night, the woman alleged, that Jackson sent two ‘hoodie-clad’ females to threaten her ‘with murder’. The two women had apparently broken into her apartment under the pretext of finding Josh Jackson’s stolen watch, which Dane Joe refused. Now the lawsuit filed against Jackson seems to have grave implications for the player if found guilty.

Potential punishment for ex-Suns man if found guilty

Amid the ongoing investigation of the alleged case of rape and battery, things do not look any better for Jackson. Although the original incident dates back to February 2022, there has been substantial factors that question Josh Jackson’s alleged incrimination. The plaintiff of the lawsuit and her attorney have insisted that strict actions be taken against Jackson.

The lawsuit further emphasized that the plaintiff will not accept any monetary compensation from the player.

As investigation proceeds, Josh Jackson could face serious trial depending on how solid the evidence against the player turns out to be. If found guilty, Jackson could be ruled to several years in prison time for sexual battery and felony assault.

However, with all the alleged cases facing Josh Jackson, it is obvious that the G-league player will definitely face the full length of the law if found guilty of all the cases leveled against him.
