What uplifting message did Micah Parsons send to Daniel Jones after disastrous loss vs the Seahawks?

Just a few days ago the New York Giants raised the eyebrows of the NFL community by deciding to extend the deal of Daniel Jones with a whopping deal instead of inking veteran running back Saquon Barkley to a long-term contract. If the quarterback played well in these four weeks of the regular season, fans could still refrain from bashing the franchise for the wrong move.

However, Jones has been suffering terribly with his poor performances and so has his team. Following the Giants’ big defeat against the Seattle Seahawks, the NFL community once again started ranting about the QB, albeit he surprisingly found support from his NFC East rival, Micah Parsons.

Daniel Jones receives encouragement from Micah Parsons

The Giants started their season with a loss to the Dallas Cowboys, and now they are 1-3, and in all these matches, their weakest point was the offensive side of the ball. Dallas defensive star Micah smashed Daniel’s offense with a 40-0 victory, and hence, he knows the problem is not only with their QB, instead, their whole offense should be held responsible.

A video clip was shared by a user on X, formerly known as Twitter, where Seattle’s defensive linemen were seen easily breaking through the line to reach Daniel. Parsons retweeted the clip with a comment defending the dual-threat.

“Very easy to say it’s Daniel jones…..,” he wrote.

On top of that, the Giants lost two of their offensive stars: John Michael Schmitz due to a shoulder injury, and Shane Lemieux to an abductor injury. They added one of their former veterans, Justin Pugh to the practice squad to boost the side of the ball.

Meanwhile, this is the second time Micah defended a QB in the last few days as he also defended the New York Jets signal-caller Zach Wilson when the former NFL star and current NBC Sports analyst Rodney Harrison used Chris Jones as bait to criticize Gang Green’s QB.

Jones sacked 10 times in Giants’ loss

In the Giants’ loss to the Seahawks on Monday night, Jones was sacked 10 times, the most a signal-caller had suffered in a single game in five years. Donovan McNabb, Warren Moon, and Bert Jones jointly hold the infamous record of recording the most sacks (12) in a single match.

Meanwhile, the fifth-year vet also became the 10th player in the position in this century to digest double-digit sacks in a game. He has been sacked a total of 22 times in the first four games this season, marking an average of 5.5 times per game.

However, the QB doesn’t want to take the blame for this poor performance on his shoulder, instead, he credited the rival team’s defense for their recent failure.

“I mean give credit to their defense. They rush hard and play well together, but I’ve got to do a better job getting through my reads, getting the ball out of my hand, and making quick decisions, so I’ll definitely look to work on that.”

Having a $160 million contract and a guaranteed base salary of $35.5 million in 2024, Jones’ performance will undoubtedly make the Giants’ fans frustrated. Now, it remains to be seen if he can bounce back in the next match to shake off the embarrassment.
