The museum was mainly built due to the ongoing Riyadh Season, which is an annual festival dedicated to promoting entertainment and tourism in the Gulf nation. It has been going on since 2019, and has brought much revenue and tourism into the country.
The festival famously started with the epic fight between world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury and the former UFC champion Francis Ngannou. With Ronaldo’s massive influence in mind, the museum was opened to allow fans a glimpse into his life and career. Ronaldo has also brought much recognition to the nation and it’s league, which helped them earn the rights to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

A bronze statue of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner can be seen outside.
Inside the museum, there are many photos and videos showcasing the life and career of the player. Replicas of many of his trophies and awards are on display. Numerous wax figures of Ronaldo are available for visitors to take pictures with. The museum features shirts and memorabilia from all his teams, including Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Al Nassr, the Portugal national team, and even from the two youth clubs he played at: CF Andorinha and Nacional da Madeira.
