In early 2024, Jinder Mahal returned to the WWE Universe after a long absence. He faced off against The Rock in a promo and also challenged the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins. However, despite his efforts, he has faced defeat in his most recent match against Rollins.
Mahal recently expressed that he feels he hasn’t received the credit he deserves from the WWE Universe. Despite generating a lot of buzz since his return, he senses being overlooked. However, a WWE personnel has acknowledged The Modern Day Maharaja, which may help raise awareness of Mahal’s worth.
What’s next for Jinder Mahal?
The General Manager of SmackDown, Nick Aldis, has made an intriguing offer to former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal ahead of yesterday’s episode of Monday Night Raw. This week’s Raw was an eventful show, featuring Seth Rollins defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Jinder Mahal. However, the Modern Day Maharaja was left disappointed over his own defeat.
On Twitter, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis sent a message to Jinder Mahal before the premiere of Monday Night Raw. Aldis mentioned that Mahal is being overlooked on the Red Brand and extended an invitation for him to discuss the possibility of joining the main roster of SmackDown.
“Best of luck to @JinderMahal in his WWE World Heavyweight Championship match tonight on #RAW. I agree with you, Mr. Mahal; you have been overlooked… on Raw. However, management has had a bit of a shake-up in recent months, and I’ll think you’ll find that #SmackDown is the land of opportunity, and I am always open to a conversation,” wrote Nick Aldis.
Now, only time will reveal if Mahal puts his faith in Aldis and joins the main roster of the Blue Brand for better opportunities, as promised by the former TNA wrestler.
Jinder Mahal breaks silence following his defeat to Seth Rollins
WWE Superstar Jinder Mahal has recently shared his initial reaction to losing the World Heavyweight Championship match to Seth Rollins on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. The Modern Day Maharaja and The Architect came face-to-face on last week’s episode of Raw.
Soon after, a match for the World Heavyweight Championship was set up between the two superstars. Fans were surprised to see Mahal getting a title opportunity just after returning, while other wrestlers like Randy Orton and CM Punk are still waiting in the queue for such an opportunity.
According to recent reports, WWE requested additional pyrotechnics for last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw. This fueled speculation among many fans that Jinder Mahal might have a chance at defeating Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship title.
Unfortunately, Jinder failed to secure a victory against Rollins during the show. Following the significant loss, Mahal shared his reaction on Twitter, writing, “Welp, so much for sending that extra Pyro for my Punjabi celebration…”
