UFC 299 has the potential to be the best fight card ever in MMA history. Dana White recently announced 4 fights for the PPV event in the post-fight press conference of UFC 296. Already stacked up, the addition of the 4 fights has made it a fan’s delight.
Moreover, Dana White made sure to tell the media that the highly anticipated UFC 300 will be even more stacked than the UFC 299. UFC 300 is rumored to be the PPV which will see the return of Conor McGregor against top-ranked lightweight contender, Michael Chandler.
UFC 299 date, time, venue
UFC 299 will be held at the Kaseya Center in Biscayne Bay, Miami, Florida. The previous UFC event at the venue was UFC 287 where Israel Adesanya reclaimed the title from Alex Pereira in a highly anticipated grudge match.
The venue was previously known as American Airlines Arena, FTX Arena, and Miami-Dade Arena before being renamed Kaseya Arena in April of 2023. UFC 287 was the return of the UFC to the venue after 20 long years. Before UFC 287, the only UFC event to be held at the venue was UFC 42: Sudden Impact.
UFC 299 is scheduled for March 9, 2024, in the United States of America. Due to the timezone differences, the event will be on March 10, 2024, in Asia. Early Prelims for the event start from 7 PM ET / 4 PM PT which is 5:00 PM in BST. Prelims start at 9 PM ET / 6 PM PT which is 7:00 PM in BST. Main Card starts from 11 PM ET / 8 PM PT which is 9:00 PM BST.
UFC 299 match card
The fight card for UFC 299 is one of the most stacked fight cards ever. The main event of the PPV was already announced to be between bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera. Now White announced a fan-friendly matchup between hard-hitting bantamweight, Song Yadong and Petr Yan. Another bantamweight bout, Pedro Munhoz vs Kyler Phillips was already announced.
The other three fights announced by Dan White were in the welterweight division. Michael Venom Page, on his UFC debut, will face Kevin Holland. Ian Garry and Geoff Neal will also fight after their initial booking at UFC 292 was scrapped. Gilbert Burns will take on Jack Della Maddalena in yet another welterweight bout.
Jailto Almeida vs. Curtis Blaydes is the sole heavyweight fight on the card with the sole lightweight bout being between Mateusz Gamrot and Rafael Dos Anjos. Kathlyn Chookagian will square off against Maycee Barber in the in the sole female bout of the card. C.J. Vergara vs. Assu Almabayev will be another flyweight fight on the card.
