Giulia, a well-known figure in the world of international wrestling, has responded to speculations that she would be looking to join WWE. Even though there have been recent discussions about joining WWE, the NJPW and Stardom wrestler has said that she is primarily concerned with advancing women’s wrestling in Japan.
The English-born Italian-Japanese professional wrestler, widely regarded as one of the most accomplished female wrestlers in the world, is now under contract with STARDOM, and engages in matches for New Japan Pro Wrestling. Late in the year 2023, there were rumors that she would start working for WWE in the year 2024.
When will Giulia’s STARDOM contract expire?
Despite not currently being under contract with WWE, top female wrestler Giulia holds the titles of Artist of Stardom and NJPW Strong Women’s. Several months ago, speculation arose regarding her potential move to WWE, but as of now, there has been no confirmation. Giulia has substantial commitments with Stardom until March, but recent rumors suggest that WWE is determined to sign her.
Even though Giulia did not agree to a contract extension with Stardom, she was unhappy when word got out that WWE was interested. Reports have it that she is directly conducting contract negotiations. In March, Giulia’s contract with stable Donna Del Mondo was about to expire.
According to Dave Meltzer, it was announced during her participation at the STARDOM Ittenyon Stardom Gate performance. Sources say that Giulia’s name came up in discussions about AEW, and if she relocates to the United States, she may collaborate closely with producers and coaches.
Update on WWE’s interest in Giulia
Paul “Triple H” Levesque wants to disprove the idea that Japanese wrestlers have a hard time in WWE. Giulia is said to have recently toured the WWE Performance Center. It was reported earlier that her trip to Orlando would not happen, but WWE still sees her as a possible priority acquisition.
Insiders in WWE believe that until she is ready to be on the main roster, she will be sent to NXT and the Performance Center. Meltzer thinks Giulia might take a break to improve her English before potentially wrestling in Japan this year and then making the move to the United States. Reports indicate that Giulia and WWE had many discussions in late 2023.
