Where will WWE hold Elimination Chamber 2024? Revealing date, venue for the PLE

WWE has recently announced the location and venue for one of their most brutal Premium Live Events, Elimination Chamber 2024. It’s usually the final event on the road to WrestleMania, and this year it appears that the road to WrestleMania 40 will pass through Perth, Australia.

The date, time and venue for the marquee event before the April Extravaganza was announced via a press conference, with Rhea Ripley proclaiming that she is proud to represent her hometown during the event. The New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods also promoted the venue of the event via a post on X.

WWE announces Elimination Chamber 2024 date, venue

Earlier this week, it was reported that WWE might return to Australia for Elimination Chamber 2024, which would be the first time for any major event since 2018. The most recent event by the Stamford-based promotion in Australia was Super Show-Down in 2018.

It was officially announced on this Thursday that WWE would be hosting their Elimination Chamber 2024 event in Perth, Australia at the Optus Stadium. The PLE is scheduled to take place on 24th February, marking the final pit stop on the road to WrestleMania 40. Optus Stadium has a seating capacity of 60,000 and is often used to host Australian Football League, Cricket, and Rugby matches.

Additionally, several famous music artists have held concerts at the venue, including Taylor Swift, U2, and Guns N’ Roses. Elimination Chamber 2024 will occur approximately 4 weeks after Royal Rumble 2024 and is the last PLE before WrestleMania 40.

This announcement comes at a great time for Australian wrestlers in WWE. Rhea Ripley, who hails from Adelaide, South Australia, called the announcement a ‘dream come true’ and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform in her home country.

“I’m beyond proud to represent Australia every single time I step inside a WWE ring, and to bring a Premium Live Event to Perth is a dream come true,” said Rhea Ripley. “Get ready, Australia, because Mami is coming home.”

WWE Elimination Chamber held in Canada this year

WWE has officially announced that they would be hosting their Elimination Chamber 2024 event in Perth, Australia. It would be almost 6 years since the Stamford-based promotion has held an event in Australia, with the last one being Super Show-Down where Triple H famously defeated The Undertaker in a No Disqualification match.

This year, the Elimination Chamber event was held in Canada and featured several top superstars, including the stellar match between Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. With the announcement of next year’s event being held in Australia, it seems that WWE is leaning towards hosting more events outside the United States.

This year, Backlash was held in Puerto Rico, Money In The Bank took place in London, and WWE returned to India with the recent Superstar Spectacle event. While no matches have been announced or speculated for Elimination Chamber 2024, it’s guaranteed to be another star-studded show as it’s the last PLE before WrestleMania 40.
