Which one thing may convince Liverpool to release $82 million Mohamed Salah? Exploring journalist’s astonishing claim

It may still be too early to declare Liverpool a club in crisis, but Jurgen Klopp certainly does not look happy with how his summer transfer window has turned out so far. With only a few days before the end of the window, Klopp hasn’t been able to land all of his targets, with the club missing out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, who chose Chelsea over the Reds.

Although Liverpool have managed to sign three midfielders – Mac Alister, Szoboslai, and Wataru Endo – it’s still not enough to cover for losing many first-team regulars to other clubs at the end of the season. The likes of Henderson, Fabinho, Milner, Keita, and Chamberlain have all moved on.

The only factor that can make Liverpool sell Salah

Saudi clubs have managed to snap up some of the world’s best players to play in their league and are now eyeing Mo Salah as their next big target. The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Neymar, Roberto Firmino, Malcolm, Jordan Henderson, and Sadio Mane are now in the Saudi Pro League, with many earning a huge payout.

Al-Ittihad is reportedly looking to tempt Mo Salah to the Saudi Pro League by making him the highest-paid player in the league and possibly in the world, but any deal for the Liverpool forward is unlikely to go through due to Liverpool’s reluctance to let their star man leave this summer.

According to Sky Sports, Al-Ittihad is ready to go all-out to sign Mo Salah, tempting Liverpool with a huge transfer fee. Fabrizio Romano declared on his YouTube that any deal to sign Salah from Liverpool would hugely depend on the Egyptian’s willingness to force a move away from Liverpool, which is rather unlikely.

Is Salah Liverpool’s highest-paid player?

Liverpool tied Mohamed Salah to a new two-year contract last season when he had only a year left on his previous deal. This made him the club’s highest-paid player, ahead of the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Thiago Alcantara, and Trent Alexander-Arnold. According to Statista, Salah is on a £350,000-a-week deal at Liverpool, with Van Dijk, Thiago, and Alexander-Arnold following the Egyptian.

Van Dijk currently earns £220,000 per week, while Thiago is on a £200,000-a-week deal at the Merseyside club. With Salah earning that much at Liverpool, it highlights how valuable he is to the club, which explains their reluctance to let him leave.

Can Al-Ittihad tempt Mo Salah with a bumper contract? Or should they add other incentives? Let’s discuss below!
