On October 23, Olavd was arrested by police in Kenner, Los Angeles, with the allegation of reckless motor vehicle driving. He was booked for driving 70 mph in a 35-mph zone in Joe Yenni Boulevard’s 1700 block, per Kenner PD spokesman Capt. Michael Cunningham, via WAFB.
The wide receiver (WR) did not become involved in any altercations during the arrest and displayed cooperation with law enforcement throughout the process, as reported by multiple media outlets. A spokesperson for the Saints confirmed that the franchise was aware of the WR’s arrest, although the front office was unlikely to comment on the matter.
Meanwhile, Olave became the second wide receiver as well as active player of the 2023 NFL season to face legal trouble on Monday. The Chiefs star Justyn Ross was also arrested the same day in Shawnee, Kansas City due to the accusation of causing criminal damage in excess of $25,000.
