Who is Gabriel Moscardo?
Born in September 2005 in Taubaté, a city in the state of Sao Paulo, Gabriel Moscardo is a highly-rated player currently playing for Corinthians in the Brazilian first-division Serie A. Considered one of the next generational talents in Brazilian football, he has gained recognition as a promising midfielder.
Gabriel Moscardo’s journey began at the age of 12 when he joined Corinthians academy in 2017. Within five years, he progressed through the youth team ranks to the senior team set-up. In 2021, he signed his maiden professional contract with the club and earlier this year, he extended it until 2026.
The 18-year-old Gabriel Moscardo is a versatile midfielder capable of operating in various positions in the center. His most suited role is as a defensive or holding midfielder, but he can also adeptly switch to an attacking midfielder position. Moscardo, who made his debut in July at 17, has showcased his skills in 25 appearances for his club this season.

Moscardo joins compatriot Lucas Beraldo in PSG’s shopping spree
Reportedly, PSG has agreed with the Brazilian side Corinthians to transfer Gabriel Moscardo at a fee of €20m, with additional bonuses. Despite interest from Chelsea, the teenage midfielder has chosen Paris for his future endeavors, a decision granted by his current club.
Augusto Melo, the president of Club Corinthians, confirmed the transfer, stating, “Unfortunately, the cycle has come to an end. His mind is elsewhere, and we gave him the freedom to choose. May he be happy, He’s heading to Paris.”
A few days ago, Paris Saint-Germain made another significant signing, securing Brazilian wonderkid Lucas Beraldo in a £17 million deal from Sao Paulo FC. He is set to join the club in January, alongside Gabriel Moscardo, as Parisian continues their shopping spree for Brazilian prodigies ahead of the January transfer window.
