Since Jake Paul expressed his desire to become a professional boxing champion, numerous boxers have stepped up to challenge him. Now, Neeraj Goyat, a boxer of Indian origin known worldwide, is eager to put Jake Paul’s professional skills to the test.
Previously, Neeraj Goyat had issued a challenge to Jake Paul for a potential bout, to which Paul responded with a straightforward “Anytime, Anywhere.” However, when the two boxers recently came face-to-face, it was more than just a casual encounter.
Who is Neeraj Goyat trying to fight Jake Paul?
Neeraj Goyat is an Indian boxer who has a record of winning 18 fights out of 24 fights. The boxer comes from the Haryana state of India, where notable boxers like Vijender Singh came from. Neeraj also won a bronze medal in the 2016 Summer Olympics Games and was named WBC Asia’s Honorary Boxer of the Year for 2017.
Now, after 28 fights, the Olympic bronze medalist is now eager to challenge the YouTuber-turned-boxer. Following his serious call-out in December last year, Goyat has taken the initiative to visit Jake Paul’s training location ahead of his next matchup.
Jake Paul is currently preparing for an upcoming bout scheduled for March 2nd in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Before facing off against Ryan Bourland, the 27-year-old Jake received an unexpected visit from Goyat.
Goyat decided to confront Jake directly, this time face-to-face. Neeraj Goyat came out of his car and began accusing Jake Paul of using a translator to hurl insults in Indian towards him.
Goyat confronted Paul saying, “Jake Paul, I’m the man of my word. I’m here. I’m in your country. I’m here in your town. I’m here in your gym, man. Now abuse… You using translate application and you abusing in Indian language. Now abuse.”
In reply, Jake Paul said, “Come to daddy… You came to see me. You don’t wanna fight though… Listen brother, you can’t handle a little s**t talk. Your feelings are hurt? Did I hurt your feelings?… Listen brother, f**k you three times, brother… I respect you for showing up man-to-man. But you don’t wanna fight.”
Later, things got heated as both boxers moved closer and began pushing each other until Amanda Serrano intervened. With the assistance of the crew, Serrano managed to separate the two before the situation could escalate further.
Jake Paul’s response to everyone trying to fight him
Recently, Jake Paul expressed his frustration with three potential opponents who were engaging in callouts but not committing to the fight. He mentioned Tyreek Hill, Neeraj Goyat, and Tommy Fury, who are not finalizing a fight with his despite calling out Paul publicly.
Jake Paul, on Twitter, ‘X’ responded, “All these guys yap yap yap. Tyreek – you would get mauled in the ring by me. Lion kills a cheetah every time in a small space. No where to run. Come on brother.”
Regarding Goyat’s callout he wrote, “Neeraj – brave for coming to PR all the way from India. But you too small brother. 1 hand is all I need.”
The YouTuber-turned boxer also mentioned Tommy Fury and said he was ready to face him for about a year now. He wrote, “Tommy – you been running for a year now. I’m ready anytime. Offered you 8 figures. You and daddy think it’s worth more…ok bring me the money.”
Paul has a serious plan working towards becoming a championship title contender by engaging in fights with legitimate boxers. Alongside pursuing big-name matchups, he is actively seeking to challenge real fighters to climb the ladder in boxing and eventually take a shot at a championship opportunity.
