Becky Lynch became the NXT Women’s Champion a few weeks ago when she defeated former champion Tiffany Stratton on NXT. This rivalry began about a month ago when Stratton made a comment about Lynch being a former NXT Women’s Champion. This provoked Big Time Becks to claim that she never won the championship gold and went after Stratton.
Who is Lyra Valkyria?
Lyra Valkyria is one of the most prominent women in NXT. She made her debut in WWE’s development brand in 2020 and had a pretty great start in the company with a number of victories. She was recently a part of the mixed tag team match with The Judgment Day alongside her partner Dragon Lee, in which they emerged victorious.
Now it looks like WWE has new plans for the 26-year-old superstar, as she came out to defend Becky Lynch during her match with Tiffany Stratton and Kiana James. Valkyria and Lynch emerged victorious in the bout, with the latter even posting some pictures of them together on X with the caption “You’ll never beat the Irish”. It looks like WWE might potentially pair up Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria in the future.
Becky Lynch is set to defend her title against Tiffany Stratton
Becky Lynch won her first-ever NXT Women’s Championship a few weeks ago when she defeated former champion Tiffany Stratton. Their entire feud started almost a month ago when Stratton accidentally referred to Lynch as a former NXT Women’s Champion. Big Time Becks clarified that she has never once won the title in her career and has set her sights on it.
In their bout a few weeks ago, she finally captured the championship and became a Grand Slam Champion as well.
On NXT this week, Lynch kept her promise and showed up on last night’s show. She was interrupted by former champion Tiffany Stratton, who demanded a rematch for the championship. Their match was later confirmed that night. However, the two women got into a brawl after a brief exchange of words.
Suddenly, Kiana James showed up to aid Stratton in taking down Big Time Becks. Later that night, Lynch got into a Handicap match against the two. However, the numbers game was too much for the NXT Women’s Champion. Thankfully, Lyra Valkyria showed up to make the save, and ended up winning the match alongside Becky Lynch. It looks like WWE might have plans to pair up the babyfaces in the future.
NXT fans have been loving the main roster stars making appearances on the black and gold brand for the past month, with Judgment Day, Baron Corbin, and Becky Lynch being the current favorites. It’s likely that more superstars will show up sometime soon.
