Well, that’s about to be a thing of the past, as United made a significant announcement by appointing Omar Berrada as their new CEO after snapping him up from the noses of their noisy neighbors Manchester City.
Omar Berrada joined Manchester City in 2011 as the club’s head of international business development. He quickly rose to the top at the club, becoming the club’s chief operating officer in 2016 before gaining promotion to a senior role at not just Manchester City, but for the City Football Group.
Berrada also has gigs at Barcelona on his CV, as he was there during the most successful period the club has ever experienced, working with Guardiola until 2011.

Manchester United have signaled their intent to get back to the top since bringing the INEOS Group, under the ownership of Sir Jim Ratcliffe, on board.
Since taking over last month, the new ownership group has already made significant changes to the club’s structure, sending out fringe players on loan and bringing in a top executive from a rival club.

United fans will now hope that Omar Berrada will use his experience to help United back to the top of English football.
