Tonight’s long-awaited boxing match is set to feature UFC vet Nate Diaz and influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul going head-to-head. For the ‘Problem Child’, it presents another lucrative money fight. Apart from the payout, both fighters will probably be eager to secure substantial purses and win bonuses in offer.
During yesterday’s ceremonial weigh-in, there were intense physical and verbal exchanges, adding to the anticipation ahead of the fight. Both contenders look resolute in displaying their abilities and aiming for victory in this much-awaited clash.
Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz: Purse, payout, bonuses
Paul’s involvement in boxing usually guarantees immense financial success, attracting both superstars and retired legends to face him. The YouTuber-turned-boxer suffered his maiden defeat against Tommy Fury in his previous match at the Diriyah Arena in Saudi Arabia, but still reportedly managed to walk away with an eye-watering $30m.
Now, Jake looks fully focused on beating the former MMA superstar to secure a substantial amount of prize money. The Problem Child is reportedly going to make $2 million for participating and could potentially increase the amount to $5 million if he defeats Diaz.
On the other hand, the retired MMA fighter also looks eager to kickstart his boxing career and earn a significant sum. The former UFC superstar is assured of a $500,000 payday, and the amount could double if he emerges victorious in the bout.

Tallying up the PPV buy shares, the income could go even higher for Jake, considering the fact he pretty much carried the promotional events. However, Diaz is also a significant draw so he too could receive a PPV share.
Promotion co-founder speculates final boxing bout for Paul
As the much-awaited boxing clash approaches, numerous influential figures and boxing personalities have shared their opinion about the match’s outcome. Among them, Jake’s business partner Nakisa Bidarian believes that a defeat in tonight’s bout could potentially mark the end of Jake’s boxing career.
“He may retire if he loses to Nate Diaz. His boxing career is on the line, in terms of being one of the top three or four guys in the entire sport globally. I think if he was to lose, he’d just go to being another prospect that’s coming up in the ring.” Nakisa said.
Jake too has suggested the possibility of retiring if he doesn’t manage to stage a comeback in tonight’s boxing match. Despite securing victories against opponents like Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva, experiencing consecutive defeats could be a significant burden for the younger Paul brother.
