Why did Andrew Tate turn down ‘$10–20 million’ Sean Strickland fight?

Andrew Tate made big waves on social media and his influence is still ongoing even after his arrest by Romanian authorities for allegations of sex trafficking. Tate has found support and dissent from the combat sports community, as evidenced by the endorsement and criticism he got from big stars in combat sports, especially in the UFC

Even though famous boxers like Jon Jones and others have backed Tate, there has always been someone who spoke out against him.

Andrew Tate explains why he turned down Sean Strickland fight

Sean Strickland has on too many occasions challenged Andrew Tate to a fight and Tate recently revealed no interest in it. “I could do a big fight and make $10, $20 million, whatever. That’s not worth my time, but that’s the money that would be generated, and everyone’s trying to drag me into a fight,” Tate said on his appearance on the Fresh and Fit podcast on Rumble.

“If they actually pay any attention to the life I’m living or the things I’ve just said, I’m in a fight. I’m already in a fight. But you don’t drag someone into it,” Tate revealed, explaining why he won’t be fighting Strickland. “I’m in a fight, and I don’t think the fight’s going to end anytime soon. And I have very little interest in trying to do any other kind of fights for entertainment”, Tate further added.

“I think my fight is larger and bigger than some stupid boxing match or a sparring competition or some views on the internet”, Tate said, closing the door on any combat sports endeavor for him anytime in the present or future.

On the other hand, Strickland has even brutally sparred with amateurs, as evidenced by his sparring with streamer Sneako at the UFC PI. Tate had earlier criticized the actions of both Sneako and Strickland for their decision to spar.

Sean Strickland once went off on Andrew Tate

Sean Strickland once went on a rant against Andrew Tate during his appearance on the Full Send podcast with Kyle Foregeard and Aaron Steinberg. “Andrew Tate is a con artist…he pretended to be a cam girl and used to rob people’s savings?”, Strickland said about Tate.

“Andrew Tate, he’s not your Messiah. He would turn you out for a dollar. He’s a fucking pimp, he’s a whore”, Strickland further bashed Tate, as he felt that a lot of young men found Tate to be a role model and Strickland did not feel that Tate has done things to be considered a role model for young men.

“Andrew Tate found a con, and he’s running with it, and he’s making a lot of f*cking money. Don’t be like him..there are so many better male role models to have, and he is the definition of trash”, Strickland concluded his bashing of Tate by calling him ‘trash’.

Strickland’s podcast appearance on the Full Send podcast came before he won the UFC middleweight title from Israel Adesanya at UFC 293. But then, at UFC 297, Dricus du Plessis defeated the American middleweight and secured the championship.
