Logan Paul recently captured the United States Championship from Rey Mysterio at WWE’s Crown Jewel last week. Following his first title win in the Stamford-based promotion, the social media superstar took to Instagram to share some celebratory pictures, as he seemed pretty comfortable integrating the championship gold in his daily life.
Within only a year since his debut in WWE, Logan Paul has already won his first major title in the company. During his match with Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel, Paul, in a typical heel fashion, used brass knuckles to knock his opponent out and win the match and later denied using any underhanded means in the match.
Why WWE fans believe Logan Paul is copying Shawn Michaels
After winning the United States championship, Logan Paul took to Instagram to share some pictures of himself with the title. Although it’s understandable that one would like to celebrate their first title win, no one expected the Maverick to get a bit too comfortable in his victory celebration, as he uploaded some X-rated pictures of himself with the championship gold.
In his post, Paul shared 4 pictures which showed him incorporating the US title in his daily activities. He had the title with him in every picture, where he could be seen sleeping on his bed with Nina Agdal, sitting on a rooftop and working out at the gym. However in the last picture, Paul could be seen showering with nothing but the title wrapped around him.
This is not the first time that a wrestler has posted X-rated pictures of themselves along with a championship title. Shawn Michaels has done it before when he won the WWE Championship. Mandy Rose was also a notable superstar who posted mature pictures of herself with the NXT Women’s Championship. Therefore, this led many fans to believe that Logan Paul got the idea of doing the photoshoot from HBK himself.
Did Shawn Michaels train Logan Paul?
With recent comparisons being drawn between Shawn Michaels and Logan Paul, some fans have been wondering whether the two stars train together. Prior to his match against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel last year, Michaels admitted to training the Maverick. In an interview with Fightful, the Hall of Famer talked about training Paul and described him as a “bright kid”.
“Working with him really was fun. he’s a bright kid. I didn’t know him, clearly, I’m whatever. I’m a square. Obviously, I know of him. I saw what he did at Mania and you told tell he was clearly committed.”, said Michaels.
He further added, “I found him to be a very bright kid, nice guy, he has a great crew around him. They seem to be good boys. It was a lot of fun and getting to be the cool kid in class was cool.”
Shawn Michaels is currently in charge of NXT, where he trains young talent and prepare them for the main roster. It would make sense as to why he would train Logan Paul as well, who has come a long way since then.
