Why does the UFC president Dana White hate soccer?

Dana White has been in the sports business for a long time, and other than being an athlete, he is among those men who may not play sports anymore but have always been talking about different sports games. Since White became CEO of the biggest combat sports company, his views are always in the spotlight.

The UFC president sometimes got involved in controversies related to his personal life issues and sometimes with rival promoters. Dana White praising and criticizing an athlete are small controversies, but once he made controversial remarks about the biggest sports game.

Why doesn’t Dana White like soccer?

There are so some sports that haven’t reached the world stage yet, and there are already many that are enjoyed worldwide. From young people to older ones, everyone is aware of soccer. Before starting to play any other game, a toddler first starts kicking things, and when it turns out to be a ball – hence, it becomes part of soccer.

The game that doesn’t require any equipment, just a ball, has become one of the richest sports in the world right now. Being aware of most of the sports games, Dana White once made controversial remarks about people’s beloved soccer.

On a podcast, the UFC CEO was asked about his views on soccer. Without hesitation, Dana White put his views forward without caring about the liking or disliking of the people.

He said, “Soccer? Whole other ball game. I can’t stand soccer. I think that it’s the least talented sport on earth”, making controversial remarks about not having much talent in the soccer sport.

“There’s a reason three-year-olds can play soccer, ok? You run around and kick a ball.”

White also gave an example of a 3-year-old kid playing soccer for a reason, saying he just rounds to kick the ball.

Dana White added, “You wouldn’t say that if you were in Brazil, dude. I’d say this in any country ever. When you’re playing a game where the net is this big and the score is 3-1, are you s**ting me right now? Do you know how untalented you have to be to score three points when the net is this big?”

To support his statement the 53-year-old brought the standards of soccer games where a goal’s net length is questioned. He went on to say that winning with a 3-1 score is not a talent hinting there should be more goals on the scoreboard or net size should be reduced.

Soccer fans respond to Dana White labeling the sport “least talented”

However, after Dana White’s statement, many fans felt bad about their beloved childhood game. Fans looked disappointed with their favorite combat sports company’s CEO and even dragged the sport of MMA into the conversation.

One fan insisted that a three-year-old kid also has the ability to beat other kids of the same age – this doesn’t mean MMA will become a basic sport because of this reason. He wrote, “Three-year-olds can also kick the shit out of each other, does that make MMA a basic sport?

One of the fans directly said Dana White doesn’t like soccer, which is why he hates it. “He hates it because he doesn’t understand it.”

One fan tried to remind Dana White that the game is still one of the hardest sports. “It’s literally the hardest sport.”

Another fan brought up White’s nationality and gave the reason why White doesn’t play soccer. “Dana is typical American.”

Do you guys think Dana White’s remark on the biggest sports game is justified? Or do you think he lacks the proper perception about sports other than any combat sports game?
