Two weeks ago on WWE SmackDown, “The Damage CTRL” gave Bianca Belair a massive beatdown on the backstage. Before the assault, Women’s Champion Iyo Sky and Bayley had lost to Charlotte Flair and Bianca. The villainous faction might have vented out their frustration over the EST of WWE.
However, it was not clear whether Belair’s beating was to pump the storyline. That said, an update has recently been given. As per Fightful Select, that angle was done to give Bianca Belair a break from the television.
Why is Bianca Belair not in WWE?
Bianca Belair has not wrestled since she teamed up with Charlotte Flair and defeated Bayley and WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY on that August 18 SmackDown in Toronto. After that match “Damage CTRL” attacked Belair backstage and focused on her knee to play off the injury she had from SummerSlam. The August 18 SmackDown act came almost two weeks after Belair won the WWE Women’s Title by defeating Charlotte Flair and previous champion Asuka in the SummerSlam Triple Threat match, only to lose it seconds later to IYO SKY cashing in her “Money In the Bank” briefcase.
In a recent update, a new report from Fightful Select states that Belair’s knee injury was not just a part of the storyline. The backstage incident on the August 18 SmackDown was done to write Belair out of the storylines for the time being.
Bianca Belair was planned for time off, could be ranging from a few weeks (under a month) to possibly 3 months.
She got constant praise within WWE during her title run for the insane media schedule and community events she took part in.

It was written that Belair was scheduled to take some time off, and this was included in creative plans. However, there’s been different talk going around on how long Belair might be out of the ring, ranging from a few weeks or under a month to possibly three months. There had been rumors on WWE possibly turning Belair into a heel.
The potential date for Bianca Belair’s return?
As per recent updates, fans know that Former WWE Woman’s Champion Bianca Belair is currently on a break from the ring business. She was not seen in any of the WWE shows that have been held after August 18. There is no official date on when The EST of WWE will make a return on the ring.
