Why was Jimmy Uso absent at SmackDown in Toronto? Investigating the past legal troubles of the Uso brothers

After Jey Uso took out The Bloodline and seemingly walked out of SmackDown and WWE, fans were thrilled for the aftermath of the segment, which was supposed to take place this week on SmackDown. Moreover, fans were mostly excited about Jimmy Uso’s response to his own brother beating him down before walking out on them last week. However, to everyone’s disappointment, neither Jimmy Uso nor The Bloodline were present on this week’s edition of SmackDown.

It was surprising to see that not a single member(or former member) of The Bloodline was present after the events that took place last week. Although no official reason was given for their absence as of yet, some fans have begun speculating that it might actually have something to do with the past legal troubles of The Usos and Canada not allowing them to enter.

Jimmy Uso set to return next week on SmackDown following absence in Toronto

At SummerSlam, Jimmy Uso shockingly turned his back on his own brother Jey Uso and cost him the match against Roman Reigns. As a result, Jey was seemingly fed up with the whole family drama and laid waste to Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, and even his own brother Jimmy.

He then proceeded to walk out of the arena, declaring that he was quitting the company. This generate an immense amount of hype for this week’s SmackDown, as fans were anxious to see the aftermath of last week’s events. However, to everyone’s surprise, none of the Bloodline members were present on the show, except for Paul Heyman.

Heyman appeared backstage in an interview with Kayla Braxton, who was asking him the whereabouts of The Bloodline. However, the Wiseman took a phone call instead. When he returned, he answered that Jimmy Uso would be present on SmackDown next week and that he “wouldn’t dare” to share the source of the news.

Previous legal troubles of the Usos

Although they might be the top tag team in wrestling right now, The Usos did have some run-ins with the law in the past. It’s something that WWE arguably wants us to forget, however it’s something that has been brought up in many of their segments before as well.

Jimmy Uso

Dating back to 2011, The Usos have had a combined 4 arrests on charges of Driving Under Influence and Driving While Intoxicated. Three of these arrests belong to Jimmy Uso, who even got into a dire situation with the law in 2019. He was once pulled over by the cops when he took off his shirt and threatened to fight them.

He was obviously intoxicated back then, and it lead to one of the cops even pulling out his taser. However, the situation was quickly defused and Jimmy was let off with a few charges.

The Usos’ trouble with the law and Jey’s DUI record almost resulted in them being banned from Canada. This was during Elimination Chamber this year, which took place in Montreal. They were eventually granted special permission to enter the country and were able to attend the event. Since then, both Jey and Jimmy Uso have been careful so as to not get into any further trouble.

The Usos remain one of the top tag teams in the world of professional wrestling, despite their legal troubles. Fans hope to see Jimmy’s reaction to Jey walking out of WWE. Stay tuned for next week’s edition of SmackDown, which is set to feature Jimmy Uso.
