Currently ranked at world number 1 and 6, the two-Slams-winner Alcaraz and Sinner are predicted to be the next epic rivalry to look out for in the coming years. At just 20 and 21 years old, these players are etching their mark on the sport. Just last month, the young Spaniard won Wimbledon against the reigning supreme, Novak Djokovic himself and now, Jannik Sinner became the 2nd Italian ever to claim an ATP 1000 Masters title. This top-tier healthy competition is accompanied by beautiful friendship and sportsmanship.
Carlos Alcaraz praises Jannik Sinner
Last month, after the sensational Wimbledon finals, Alcaraz claimed that his rival was not Djokovic in fact, but was the Italian sensation Jannik Sinner. When asked about his rival, he said, “For me, it’s Sinner at the moment. That beautiful rivalry we have, those big games we’ve played, on big stages.”

As fans are slowly seeing how this duo might grow into another epic rivalry, the athletes also show pure sportsmanship and brotherhood as they showered praise and shower for each other. A couple of weeks back, Jannik humbly commented on Carlos’ Wimbledon win and how Carlos is a step ahead of him. Now, after Sinner’s Sunday win, Carlitos shared his support for his fellow tennis star and wrote:

Jannik Sinner defeats Alex de Minaur
The Canadian Open finals match up way between Jannik Sinner and the Australian young icon, Alex de Minaur. This match-up has gone up against each other 4 times before this finals and Sinner had taken the win every single time. Even though Alex had improved his style of play immensely, the outcomes of this match were not different from the ones before.
The Italian stunner took the first serve game of Alex de Minaur and quickly showed his dominance even before his opponent could get a hang of it. Although the 24-year-old Australian star also had some tactical gears with his well-constructed winners, Jannik dominated his on-court and took the win in 2 straight sets at 6-4, 6-1.
