Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia will serve as the venue for WrestleMania 40 on April 6 and 7, 2024. The two-night event has already generated a lot of excitement among fans, particularly for the highly anticipated matchup between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
With just four days to go, WWE has unveiled the match card for both Night 1 and Night 2. Although there are officially thirteen bouts scheduled, given WWE’s history, there may be some surprises to make the weekend epic.
WrestleMania 40 night one matches
The excitement level is through the roof as WrestleMania 40 draws near, offering two epic nights of action-packed entertainment. New history is about to be written with the return of legendary wrestlers like The Rock in the ring and the reported involvement of top talents like Steve Austin and John Cena. Triple H has officially announced the lineups for the two nights.
In a highly anticipated matchup on Night One, Roman Reigns and The Rock will square off against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Championship bouts are also on the schedule, with Rhea Ripley defending her championship against Becky Lynch and Sami Zayn facing off against Gunther.
Additionally, there will be the third-ever brother-vs-brother WrestleMania battle between Jimmy and Jey Uso, as well as the Undisputed Tag Team Titles Six-Pack Ladder Match. It also includes a Six-Woman Tag Team Match where Jade Cargill will make her first-ever WrestleMania debut.
While all matches follow standard rules, the Bloodline vs. Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins bout on Night One promises to set new “Bloodline rules” for the unforgettable showdown between Reigns and Rhodes the following night.
Just like Night One, Night Two promises to deliver incredible entertainment with a lineup of six matches and perhaps a mystery slot.
WrestleMania 40 night two matches
On Sunday, WWE WrestleMania 40 will continue with more exciting matchups, such as a women’s title match, a brutal Philadelphia street brawl, and a Triple Threat Match for the WWE US Title. Meanwhile, the match between SmackDown’s LA Knight and AJ Styles is getting more attention since they recently confronted at Styles’ house.
Night Two will be capped off by Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship and finished with the highly anticipated match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. The “Bloodline rules” give Roman a significant advantage in this title match, regardless of the outcome of Night One between The Bloodline vs Cody Rhode and Seth Rollins.
