WWE and A&E team up for exciting new seasons of WWE rivals and biography: WWE Legends

WWE is known for its collaborations with various companies to produce and promote content. One notable collaboration occurred in 2020 when the popular USA cable TV network A&E partnered with WWE to telecast two new series titled ‘WWE Rivals’ and ‘Biography: WWE Legends.’

Both series have completed their second and third seasons, respectively, and now A&E is ready to premiere the next season to showcase the most intense rivalries in WWE and the biographies of WWE superstars.

Season Opener Puts Spotlight on Triple H vs. The Rock Feud for WWE Championship

The third season of WWE Rivals is set to have a total of eight episodes and the A&T have decided to kick off the season with a legendary feud between Triple H and the people’s champion The Rock, who issued a challenge to the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns on Day 1 RAW.

The rivalry between Triple H and The Rock is a long feud that lasted for 3 years from 1997 to 2000. They rivalry started with The Rock challenging for the Intercontinental Championship in 1997 and ended with The Rock winning the WWF Championship in SummerSlam 2000. Rock defeated Triple H and the WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, who had a storyline with Triple H’s wife Stephanie McMahon, in a triple threat match.

The first season of WWE Rivals premiered on July 10, 2022 and had a total of 9 episodes that showcased WWE’s most intense rivalries and also the most infamous segment between Shawn Michaels and the hitman, Bret Hart known as the Montreal Screwjob. In the same season, the third episode featured one of the most historic rivalries between The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Along with this episode, the third season is said to cover rivalries such as Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels, John Cena vs. Randy Orton, Hardy Boyz vs. Dudley Boyz vs. Edge & Christian, and The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan. It will air at 8 ET/PT on 25th February, Sunday, and as of now, seven episodes are confirmed, each lasting one hour.

WWE Legends spotlights Randy Orton’s life and career

Following the WWE rivals series, the ‘Biography: WWE Legends’ series is also set to air on 25th February, which will include the Legend Killer, Randy Orton’s WWE career and his personal life.

Randy Orton has been with WWE for more than 2 decades and he is the third-generation wrestler in his family, following his grandfather, father, and uncle. Orton has achieved more heights than any of the superstars in the current WWE roster.

WWE legends biography is a documentary series, that first premiered on on April 18, 2021 and has completed 3 seasons with a total of 27 episodes. The series is a part of A&E’s Biography franchise, in partnership with WWE. Each episode is two hours long and had covered the life history of more than 30 WWE superstars in the last 3 years of televising.

The former WWE writer and actor, Freddie Prinze Jr is confirmed to host the series along with the superstars. With the addition of Orton’s name in the list the fans are waiting to witness the biography of the Legend Killer.
