Last week, the WWE Universe witnessed another injury when Cora Jade, the youngest rising star of NXT, faced an injury during a NXT Live event. Jade competed against Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Champion and the match was stopped by the referee after she seemed to have an injury.
Jade was immediately taken to the backstage area and taken care of by the WWE medical crew. Recently, the details of her injury and her possible return to the NXT ring have been officially confirmed by the WWE.
WWE officially confirms Cora Jade’s nearly-year-long absence due to injury
Today, WWE has officially confirmed that Cora Jade is suffering from a torn ACL muscle and will be out of action for nearly a year. Jade was in severe pain during the match and as per the reports of the fans from the live event, Jade ended awkwardly on her leg when attempting to powerslam Valkyria from the top rope.
Cora Jade will miss a significant amount of time and will likely be out of action for the rest of 2024. This is a huge setback for her career, as she was just starting to make a name for herself on NXT after returning from an injury she faced on May 2023
This is a major setback for WWE in recent days, as many WWE Superstars are dealing with similar injuries. Jade now shares her hiatus with the former WWE Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair, who is also sidelined for a year due to an injury. Recently, Flair has undergone a surgery, after tearing her ACL, MCL and meniscus in a match with Asuka in November 2023.

Recently, Cora Jade shared a photo of her injury on social media. She added a photo of her holding a walking stick, and she was wearing a knee support brace on her left leg, indicating a severe injury. On the tweet, Jade added, “It is only after we’ve lost everything that we are free to do anything.”
After her post, the official USA Network, who always keep their social media presence, wished Jade a speedy recovery by commenting, “Wishing you a speedy recovery. We know you’ll come back stronger and better than ever.”
The famous Youtuber, Emily Saxton, who collaborated with Jade for a video, raised her support by adding, “Have a speedy recovery!!!”. Along with these celebrities, many WWE fans have supported Jade by praying for her recovery.
