WWE officially announces Roman Reigns’ return for three new SmackDown shows in December and January

Tribal Chief Roman Reigns has been dominating the WWE for the last 3 years as the Head of The Table, winning three straight Wrestlemania titles. Reigns has been on the Smackdown roster for almost 2 years, for which he makes his appearance very rare.

The Tribal Chief hasn’t appeared in WWE for almost a month. After a month’s break, WWE officially addressed the return of Roman Reigns to WWE. Now its official that Reigns will appear in the upcoming Smackdown episodes. So, will he unveil a new chapter for the Bloodline? Or simply continue his undisputed rule, reminding everyone who actually controls the WWE.

Roman Reigns set to appear in three new WWE SmackDown shows

Reigns hasn’t featured for WWE since defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against LA Knight at Crown Jewel on November 4th. Reigns has only wrestled 11 times in 2023 and looks unlikely to add to that tally before the year is out. Only seven of those matches have been televised.

WWE has announced that Reigns will be appearing at three upcoming SmackDown events in December and January. The Tribal Chief will be in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on December 15th, Vancouver, Canada, on January 5th, and Atlanta, Georgia, on January 19th.

Reigns’ reduced schedule is likely due to a combination of factors, including his family commitments and his desire to avoid overexposure. He has also said that he does not want to wrestle too often, as he believes that it would make his matches less special. This strategic approach to his schedule demonstrates Reigns’ keen understanding of the wrestling business and his commitment to both his personal life and his professional legacy.

Though Reigns has embraced a part-time schedule since rejoining WWE in 2020, his dominance remains unquestioned. Despite his reduced appearances, he continues to reign supreme as the company’s undisputed top star.

The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship currently rests on his shoulders, testament to his unmatched prowess in the ring. For three consecutive years, challengers have fallen before the might of the Tribal Chief, solidifying his status as an unstoppable force in the WWE universe.

Through the strategic allocation of his appearances, Reigns effectively maintains a larger-than-life image and ensures that each match becomes a monumental event, leaving fans eagerly anticipating his next move.

Who will face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40?

It has been reported that Reigns will appear at the Royal Rumble 2024 before WrestleMania, but not against a recent opponent. According to the most recent schedule update, Roman Reigns will not face LA Knight at the Royal Rumble, as Triple H has another plan for his top star.

The major possibility Reigns will face is Cody Rhodes. Rhodes is one of the most popular stars in WWE, and he has been building towards a match with Reigns for several months. He is a former world champion, and he has a proven track record of delivering big matches.

The Rock is also a possibility. The Rock is a WWE legend, and he is one of the most popular celebrities in the world. He has not wrestled in WWE since 2013, but he has teased a return for WrestleMania 40. A match between Reigns and The Rock would be one of the biggest in WWE history.

Recently, after the return of CM Punk, it was reported that WWE is likely to build a storyline for Punk and Reigns. It is too early to predict the opponent for Reigns. But if WWE makes any one from the above list, it would be interesting and exciting for WWE fans.
