WWE star Liv Morgan’s criminal case in Florida sees massive update

A year ago, Liv Morgan was arrested in Florida for marijuana possession. A substantial bond was posted, and she was granted release from prison. However, her mugshot gained significant traction online, quickly going viral.

Last month, she was removed from the charges related to cannabinoids and today the reports of her remaining charges have been officially released on social media.

Major update on Liv Morgan’s ongoing criminal case

On Thursday, December 15, 2023, in Sumter County, Florida, former SmackDown women’s champion Liv Morgan faced arrest on charges related to the possession of synthetic cannabinoid, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Liv Morgan was charged with possession of synthetic cannabinoids and marijuana and on January 2, the charge regarding cannabinoids was dropped due to insufficient evidence. She was set to appear in court on February 12, 2024, solely for the remaining charge of marijuana possession.

Initially, Morgan faced a third-degree felony charge for possession of synthetic cannabinoids and a misdemeanor charge for possessing marijuana, not exceeding 20 grams. As per PW Insider, Morgan’s remaining charges have been withdrawn, and her case was concluded today, February 6.

The reports also confirm that Morgan received a $543 fine and no further penalties for the first-degree misdemeanor charge. It happened after her attorney entered a plea of Nolo-Contendere, indicating she accepted conviction penalties without admitting guilt.

Liv Morgan returns to WWE to fight Zoey Stark in qualifier match

Liv Morgan returned to WWE at the Royal Rumble event on January 27 and was the runner-up in the women’s match, eliminating five superstars. Morgan was expected to return to SmackDown to feud with Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, as she caused Morgan to lose her tag team championship.

Morgan made a surprise return to WWE Raw on February 5, 2024, after being out of action for several months due to injury and had a segment with the former women’s tag team champion, Zoey Stark. After the show, WWE officially announced an elimination chamber qualifying match between Morgan and Stark for the upcoming RAW episode.

Morgan and Stark have never faced each other in singles competition before, but they have crossed paths in tag team matches in the past. Morgan and her former partner Ruby Riott defeated Stark and Baszler on the June 7, 2023, episode of WWE NXT.

In the same event, Rhea Ripley, the current Women’s World Champion, will defend her title against Nia Jax. The stakes are high for this match, as the winner will join Becky Lynch and other four competitors in the elimination chamber match, and the last woman standing will earn a Women’s World Championship opportunity at WrestleMania 40.
