Ever since Sonya Deville has been out of action due to an injury, Chelsea Green has been left without a partner. She and Deville were Women’s Tag Team Champions prior to Deville’s injury. After being told to relinquish the tag titles, Green was hell-bent on finding a new partner for her. And it looks like she got her first potential candidate for being her partner in Tommaso Ciampa.
Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green have been Women’s Tag champs for about a month, when they defeated the team of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to capture the titles. However, a few weeks back Deville suffered a torn ACL during a match and had to relinquish her title. Upon being told to relinquish her title as well, Chelsea Green suggested that instead of relinquishing the titles, she would hold auditions for “Chelsea’s Got Talent” in order to find a new partner for her.
Chelsea Green’s talent hunt teases DIY reunion
Ever since starting the ‘Chelsea’s Got Talent” internet campaign, Green has been on the hunt for a new partner. She eventually ran into the first potential candidate, none other than Tommaso Ciampa. They had a conversation backstage at RAW, where Ciampa quickly compared their situations. He said that he once used to be in a team as well, with his good friend/former enemy Johnny Gargano, who is now nowhere to be seen.

However, Green quickly realized that their situations were nothing alike and was looking for a way to get out of the conversation. She then suggested that Ciampa should try putting up missing posters of Gargano in order to locate him, which Ciampa thought to be a very good idea.

Later, we see the former DIY member putting up missing posters of Johnny Gargano all over backstage. Ciampa was determined to find his missing friend, as it was his birthday that day. He then ran into Matt Riddle, who said that he could relate to Ciampa’s situation. Riddle said that he misses “his bro Randy”, to which Ciampa said that he misses Johnny. This backstage segment has also led to some speculations that we might get to see DIY reunite on RAW sometime soon.
Green finds tag partner after Sonya Deville vacated her title
After pitching her “Chelsea’s Got Talent” idea to Adam Pierce, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance showed up and told her that they thought it was a good idea They also issued a challenge to Green and her potential tag partner in the future.

Just as Carter and Chance were challenging Green for a tag title match, Piper Niven showed up and took out the duo. She then straight up declared that she is Chelsea Green’s new partner, and as a result one-half of the tag team champions. Later, Green took to social media to declare Piper Niven as the winner of the “Chelsea’s Got Talent”.
It will be interesting to see how the dynamic between the unlikely duo of Chelsea Green and Piper Niven evolves in the coming weeks. As of now, the two seem to be in a hilarious situation where Green is all excited to have a new partner, whereas Niven gets annoyed by her and seems to be interested only in the Women’s Tag Team Championship. We look forward to seeing the two perform together as a team in the coming weeks.
