Years after earning $130M for Floyd Mayweather bout, Conor McGregor expresses his desire for potential showdown with KSI

Six years after the memorable boxing match between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather, the Irishman continues to express interest in a rematch to redeem his loss. The widely discussed face-off between McGregor and Mayweather drew significant attention within the boxing community.

Even though McGregor’s journey into professional boxing was confined to that single match, he has consistently kept the door open for a potential return to the boxing ring. Following recent developments, there may finally be a potential boxing opponent for the Irish on the horizon.

Conor McGregor talks on potential bout vs KSI

Yesterday, McGregor was seen at London’s O2 Arena, attending the heavyweight match between Anthony Joshua and Robert Helenius. At the event, McGregor shared his ambitious MMA plans in an interview.

The Irishman revealed intentions to face Michael Chandler in December, followed by a bout against Justin Gaethje for the BMF belt the following year, and subsequently completing the Nate Diaz trilogy. Alongside outlining his three MMA fights, McGregor also used the opportunity to issue a challenge to KSI.

“I know your man KSI is in the crowd and he couldn’t box eggs if he worked in an egg boxing factory. So if he wants to get in here I’ll give him a final yoke, bare-knuckle if you want!” Conor said.

KSI, who is set to fight Tommy Fury in October, quickly took to X (Twitter) to share his response to McGregor’s challenge. The British rapper didn’t pass up the chance to also make fun of his long-standing rival Jake Paul in the process.

“Good KO from AJ, shame Connor got him to drink that filth kmt [kiss my teeth]. Lmao [Laughing my a** off] just seen this. Jake Paul must be crying that I’ve got Connor on my d*** already and I didn’t even have to fight an MMA fighter.” KSI said in follow-up Tweets.
