Kimi Raikkonen is a former Finnish racing driver who competed in Formula One from 2001 to 2021. He took the 2007 Formula One World Championship while driving for Scuderia Ferrari. Raikkonen is considered one of the most talented and successful drivers of his generation, and he is known for his aggressive driving style and his dry sense of humour.

Kimi Raikkonen opens up about his life outside F1
Raikkonen confessed that he was often taking part in small motocross events without notifying his teams, and he is unaware of what their response might have been.
The Finn had a reputation for living a wild life, taking risks and partying hard, both on and off the racetrack. Examples of his craziness included entering a powerboat race with buddies in a gorilla costume, winning a snowmobile race in Finland in 2007 while using the pseudonym of the 1976 F1 World Champion James Hunt, and playing around with an inflatable dolphin in a nightclub before collapsing on top of it outside in the street.
But the above just were the documented instances. There are many which were just put under the rug, while talking about these activities according to Planetf1, the ex world champion said, “Sometimes I went riding in small club races but it was just for fun,” he further went on to say that he even has a small track at home now.
At what age did Kimi Raikkonen retire?
Kimi Raikkonen made his Formula One debut with Sauber in 2001 and won his first Grand Prix in 2003. After that, he moved to McLaren in 2007 and became the World Drivers’ Champion. In 2009, he took a break from Formula 1 to compete in rallying, but he returned to F1 with Lotus in 2012, achieving third in the championship. He joined Ferrari in 2014, but his performance there was overshadowed by Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel, and he stayed with the team until 2018. He then moved to Alfa Romeo for the 2019 season, and retired from Formula One after the conclusion of 2021.
Raikkonen was known for his laid-back attitude and his blunt personality. He was often described as the “Iceman” for his cool demeanor under pressure. His retirement from Formula One came as a surprise to many, as he had previously said that he wanted to race until he was 40 years old. However, he said that he was ready to retire and spend more time with his family.
Raikkonen is still involved in motorsport, and he is currently the brand ambassador for the Alfa Romeo Formula One team.
