According to the 49ers Webzone, the Bay Area outfit strengthened their ranks by securing the services of Yetur Gross-Matos after roping him in for an $18 million 2-year deal from the Carolina Panthers. Even after nursing a hamstring injury for most of the season, Gross-Matos was able to impress the 49ers scouts, who were already on the lookout for a competent DE after succumbing to the Kansas City Chiefs in this year’s Super Bowl.
