“You’re getting these guys paid”: Boxing fans point out Jake Paul flaw following victory over Nate Diaz

The highly anticipated boxing bout between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul finally took place tonight. While Jake emerged victorious, the outcome was not fully accepted by Nate’s fans and MMA enthusiasts in general.

For the UFC veteran, it was his first professional boxing fight, while Jake has been engaging in bouts with retired or past-prime fighters for several years. Despite this Nate put on a commendable performance, lasting the full ten rounds of the match and showcasing his skills in the ring.

Jake Paul overcomes late Nate Diaz flurry to secure victory

Despite many people anticipating a one-sided boxing battle between Jake and Diaz at the Dallas American Airlines Center, the match proved to be far from that. While Jake came close to ending the fight with knockout many times, Nate also displayed moments of skill, surprising Jake with his MMA prowess at times.

The most fascinating aspect of the bout was Diaz’s ability to rally the crowd’s support, turning the arena into a sea of cheers for him. Despite Jake’s massive social media following, Nate’s entertaining presence in the combat sports world for over a decade seems to have earned him tremendous support.

Although the Stockton native showed maturity in handling the fight, his sluggish start in the early rounds made him appear like a debutant. The crowd’s overwhelming support for Nate probably made it a little bit challenging for The Problem Child to gain momentum, but he managed to turn things around and emerged victorious with judges’ scores of 97-92, 98-91, and 98-91.

Fans point out Paul’s failure in pro boxing

Jake Paul’s performance against Nate Diaz left some MMA fans unimpressed. Numerous fans took to Twitter to share their honest reactions to Jake’s most recent tweet about the fight. The response on social media was a mix of opinions, reflecting the divided sentiments among the combat sports community regarding his performance in the bout.

“It was a setup. Check the punching strength of Nate Diaz right before the match and compare it to during the match; it was like switching from a cheetah to a turtle.” a user said.

Emy, who is also surprised at Nate surviving complete ten rounds, said, “The only thing we should remember from this fight is this and Nate going 10 rounds on his first pro boxing fight.”

“Do you agree with the referee not allowing grappling in this fight? Not sure if they both agreed on a special set of rules, but it shouldn’t count as a “fight” in this case.” Arthur commented.

Pointing out what Paul said regarding walking down Nate, another user expressed, “Didn’t he walk you around though! Man fighting a 40 year old talking shit . Couldn’t win against a real boxer around his age. ”

Tommy also appreciated Nate’s effort by saying, “Bro dude was literally drunk and high and couldn’t box at all yet he still went the distance with u. Let that sink in.”

“You didn’t do shit, pussy. You are terrified to be in a real fight. Boxing isn’t fighting. Just a simple sport.” another user said.

Jordan reminded Jake of his defeat against the only true boxer he’s ever fought by saying, “You just about won against a 38 year old retired MMA fighter lol. What happened against Fury? Who is a part time boxer. Embarrassment to the sport.”

Brandon seems to have a similar opinion to Jordan as he said, “You beat a 155lb MMA fighter that’s like 12 years older than you. Fight a pro boxer…wait, you did, and lost. But I like how you’re getting these guys paid.”
